The Pierian Sodality closed an unusually successful season last Friday evening, when the 112th annual dinner of the organization was held. At this meeting the officers for next year made short speeches, and plans for the coming season were discussed. E. H. Hoffmann '18, who is now playing in the "Pops" concerts as first violinist, and is a member of the Boston Symphony Orchestra for next year, was elected conductor of the Sodality Orchestra for 1920-1931. Since his graduation, Mr. Hoffmann has devoted much of his time to study of the piano and of orchestration in New York.
