Professor W. M. Wheeler, head of the Bussey Institute, and Professor I. W. Bailey, one of his colleagues, will sail on June 19 for the New York Zoological Society's research laboratory in British Guiana. They will continue work during the summer on the interrelation of insects and plants, especially in regard to the changes which occur when plants from the temperate zone are transplanted to a tropical environment. At the station will be 12 other biologists, among them being the research professors of the society and Professor Dahlgren of Princeton, who is at present studying the electric eel.
