Shrubb to Coach Oxford Runners

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Alfred Shrubb, coach of the University cross-country team shortly before the war, sailed recently from Montreal to take charge of the Oxford athletes who are to run against the Princeton team at a meet to be held in London early in July. He accompanied the record-breaking Oxford-Cambridge relay team which was in the United States recently at the Penn Relay Carnival. Shrubb, while at the University, met with great success in his work with the cross-country team, and was himself a crack distance runner. Later in the year he will handle the South African team which will compete in the Olympic games at Antwerp.
