NINE OFF FOR SECOND GAME WITH HOLY CROSS

This afternoon the University will play its return game with Holy Cross at Worcester. Despite its 1-0 victory over the Worcester nine a week ago Wednesday, the Crimson team will face what promises to be its stiffest contest before the Yale series.

Several changes will be made in the line-up from that which swamped California Wednesday. Frothingham, who was out of the Wednesday game because of an examination will go back to his old berth in left field, replacing Janin. Hallowell, unless Holy Cross brings out a southpaw; will be in right field instead of Perkins.

Hardell to Pitch for University

Hardell, who has not pitched since the game with Bowdoin, will be on the mound for the Crimson today. In that game he showed remarkable control. Time and again he pitched his team out of bad holes. He allowed only six hits.

Holy Cross, closing one of the most successful seasons in her history, this year has kept up to the high record of other years, having lost only to Georgetown, Yale, the University and West Point. Horan, who held the University for three hits, including Jones's home run, is the probable twirler to oppose the University today.

Today Coach Slattery, with C. B. McClaughlin '11, captain of the 1911 nine, is at Princeton, where he will have an opportunity to get a line on the Yale nine. At Worcester Coach Young of the 1923 team will have the team in charge.
