PRINCETON, N. J., June 10.--In a game featured by heavy hitting on both sides, Princeton defeated the California nine here today by a score of nine to six. St. John started in the box for the Tigers but was touched for four runs during the first two frames. He was then replaced by Lyons, who held the westerners in check for the rest of the game, allowing but two runs in the last seven innings.
