GRADUATES' DAY.

Today's gathering of the New England Federation of Harvard Clubs differs fundamentally from the usual alumni reunion in that it is essentially practical. Most reunions are of value in promoting good fellowship among the graduates and in raising outside interest in the University, but they are of little immediate benefit.

By holding a "Graduates' Day" at the University itself, for the purpose of studying present conditions here, the New England alumni combine the several benefits of a reunion with service to the University by giving their opinions and advice on the needs and deficiencies of the institution. Such a reunion, which brings the graduates in closer touch with the present conditions of the University, should prove a pleasure and a benefit to the undergraduates of yesterday and of today.
