A strong team representing the Longwood Cricket Club will oppose the University tennis players this afternoon at 4 o'clock on the club's courts at Longwood. Though the Crimson team was defeated by Princeton and West Side Tennis Club last week, the sextet is favored over their opponents because of the absence of some of the latter's best players. The University line-up follows: Captain G. W. Helm '20, L. A. deTurenne '21, J. B. Fenno Jr. '21, C. H. Hyams 3d. '21, D. P. Robinson Jr. '20 and R. N. Bradley '22.
Schoolboys have strong team
One of the hardest matches of the season is scheduled for the Freshman tennis team when it opposes Exeter this afternoon at Exeter. While the yearlings have not as yet suffered a single defeat, the New Hampshire academy also has an unusually strong sextet, to judge from its overwhelming victory in the Harvard Interscholastic. A fast match is expected when J. D. Farnham, a Crimson mainstay, meets his brother, C. W. Farnham, a star of the Exeter team. The Freshman line-up will be as follows: M. Duane, J. D. Farnham, G. C. Guild, M. C. Grabau, G. F. Warburg and LeR. Frost. Their opponents will be: Babb, C. W. Farnham, Foster, Butterworth, Buck and Smith.
