E. A. Whitney, Secretary of the Class of 1917, Will Take Up Duties in June

Mr. Edward A. Whitney '17, of Cambridge, has been elected General Secretary of the Harvard Alumni Association, to succeed Charles Jackson '98, who will retire from the Secretary ship in June.

Mr. Whitney, who was elected at a meeting of the Directors of the Alumni Association, is the secretary of the Harvard class of 1917. While in college he was president of the CRIMSON. During the war he served as an officer overseas and later did staff duty at General Headquarters in France and with the Military Intelligence in Washington. He is now teaching English and History at the University and taking advanced courses in those subjects.
