CAMBRIDGE POST TO ATTEND MEMORIAL

Nearly 200 former members of the Harvard Regiment have already applied for tickets to the Commemoration at the University on Sunday afternoon, May 30, and the applications are coming in to the Committee in large numbers in every mail.

The Cambridge Post, No. 27, of the American Legion, has accepted the invitation of the University to come to the Commemoration, and will take part in the exercises along with the James A. Shannon Post, which voted last Wednesday to attend. The Charles Beck Post of the Grand Army of the Republic will also have a place in the celebration.

The Memorial Day Committee has again drawn attention to the fact that admission to Sanders Theatre and to the Yard will be by ticket only, for those in the procession as well as others, and that members of the Faculty and former members of the Harvard Regiment should have their written applications for tickets in the hands of the Memorial Day Committee at University Hall not later than today. The Yard will be closed on Sunday afternoon, May 30, from 1 o'clock till after 4.

Non-Service Men to be Invited.

A limited number of tickets will be set aside for the use of the members of the James A. Shannon Post of the Legion, to be called for at the office of K. B. Murdock '16 in University 2, at a time to be later announced in the CRIMSON.

It is expected that members of the University who do not belong to the Shannon Post and have not received invitations as members of the Faculty or former members of the Harvard Regiment, will be later given an opportunity to secure tickets admitting to the exercises in the Yard, and will probably have some opportunity of securing tickets to Sanders Theatre at the same time. In view of the large demand, the Committee is not able to say at this time how many tickets to Sanders Theatre will be available.

The University Band will play at the Commemoration, and the combined Glee Club and Choir will sing. President Lowell will preside at the ceremonies in Sanders Theatre and introduce General Pershing, who will be the speaker of the day. William Lawrence '71, Bishop of Massachusetts, and Fellow of the College, will offer prayer. Governor Coolidge is expected to attend, and the Mayor of Cambridge has accepted the invitation to attend.

In answer to many inquiries, the Committee has stated that those who have received invitations both as members of the Faculty and as former members of the Harvard Regiment, or who belong to the Shannon Post as well as being members of the Faculty, are asked to wear uniforms if possible and assemble with the Faculty.
