REDUCE ADMISSION PRICE FOR THE 'GOVERNOR'S WIFE'

Undergraduates May See Dramatic Club Play for $1.65--Scenery Designs Unusual.

A reduced price of $1.65 for all students of the University has been made on tickets for the Cambridge performances of the Dramatic Club play, "The Governor's Wife." Tickets at this price are on sale at the Co-operative Branch only. The two performances to which this reduced rate applies will be given at the Pi Eta Theatre next Tuesday and Thursday.

Those desiring tickets for the performance at the Barn, Wellesley, on May 22, may obtain them at $1 and 75 cents (war tax free) by application to G. C. Noyes '20, Thayer 62.

The scenery for the play is of a very unusual character. Special attention has been given to the reproducing of local color and atmosphere. The sunwashed fronts of the houses, the multi-colored awnings, everything combines to convey an impression of languor and drowsiness which is essentially Spanish. The keynote of the play is struck by the admirable choice of colors, pinks and yellows predominating. Bright tiling is much in evidence, the squares being made up of vivid reds, blues, yellows, and blacks. The result is striking but at the same time one wonders how so many strong colors could have been used and yet have the general effect so uniformly soft.

The costumes will be designed to carry out the same idea both in color and in Spanish customs of dress. The scenery was designed by D. M. Oenslager '23 and executed by E. R. Morse '20.
