Many Substitutes Used in Tussle Between Teams A and B.

A short scrimmage was held yesterday for the first time by the spring football squad, teams A and B lining up against each other for the work-out. Many substitutions were made throughout the short period of play. In order to successfully carry out the plans laid by the coaches for the development of the new plays, it is important that every man who has reported at all this spring, come out for practice for the remainder of the season.

In addition to the scrimmage yesterday, the usual charging and signal practice was held.

The two teams lined up as follows:

Team A--Backs, Churchill, Hunneman and Horween; q.b., Johnson; r.e., Weatherhead; r.t., Cronan; r.g., Holmes; c., Morrison; l. g., Murphy; l.t., Higgins; l.e., Hartley.

Team B--Backs, Coburn, Hamilton and Jacobson; q.b., Humphrey; r.c., Eastman; r.t., Faxon; r.g., Reynolds; c., Kelley; l.g., Miller; l.t., Tierney; l.c., Finley.
