Wharton, Gourdin, Goodwin, and O'Connell Chosen After Yesterday's Trials.

Final trials for the Penn relay teams were held yesterday and resulted in the choosing of B. Wharton '22, E. O. Gourdin '21, W. H. Goodwin '20, and Captain D. F. O'Connell, Jr., '21 of whom the first two will run 220-yard dashes in the American College Sprint Medley Championship, the third a 440-yard dash, and the last named a half-mile. These men will also compose the team which is to race in the American College One-Mile Relay Championship on Saturday, the medley race being held on the previous day. In addition to these men, Manager J. F. Keane '21, R. W. Harwood '20, who is entered in the pole-vault, and C. G. Krogness, Jr., '21, who will compete in the high and broad jumps and the hurdles, will make the trip to Philadelphia. Gourdin will also run in the 100-yard dash and the broad jump.
