Mr. E. A. Barnard, who has just taken title to the College House at Harvard square with the idea of converting it into a first class hotel, is planning to erect a theatre on part of the lot and has already leased the theatre for a period of ten years to Mr. Phillip Davis '03 and Mr. A. S. Black.
This theatre will be called the "Harvard Square Theatre," and will be conducted more or less in the nature of a community house, catering to the highest standards of the Cambridge and College communities. It is planned for the theatre to have a seating capacity of over 2000 and will have in addition to an organ the most modern facilities required for both the silent and spoken drama.
