THE RHODES SCHOLARSHIP.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The men chosen this year to represent American universities, as holders of the Rhodes scholarships should take to Oxford with them qualities which few have possessed in the past. Cecil Rhodes was a man of action and of vision and the spirit which led him to the Dark Continent and which enabled him to create the British Empire in Africa is the spirit which he would have liked to see embodied in those who should hold his scholarships at Oxford.

Harvard men of this type should take advantage of an opportunity which but few are privileged to enjoy.
