The Freshman track team closes its winter season this afternoon by its meet with Worcester Academy at Soldiers Field at 2.30 o'clock. The Freshman team is well balanced, but is slightly stronger on the track than in the field events. J. E. Kennedy, captain of the relay team, and R. D. Howard are the strongest entrants in the 40-yard and 300-yard dashes; while C. H. Nicoll, W. C. Bennett, and R. N. Bryan appear to be the best 1923 runners in the 600-yard dash. In the one-mile run J. G. Winchester, captain of last fall's cross-country team, is the most likely point winner for the yearlings. Both W. C. Bennett and C. H. Hawes are expected to place in the 45-yard high hurdles, although Anton Hulman of Worcester Academy is the logical winner of that event. H. R. Davis is the most consistent field event man for 1923, and should win points in both the high jump and the shot-put.
