In the editorial entitled "The New Secretary," which appeared in this morning's issue, we find the statement that "no Senate has ever before rejected a Presidential nominee for the Cabinet."
"May I not" remind the writer that President Jackson's appointment of R. B. Taney as Secretary of the Treasury was flatly rejected by a Senate? J. B. MENDONCA '22.
