INCE OFFERS $2000 FOR SCENARIO

Willing to Abandon "Kiss and Clutch" For Touch of Ideality.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Following in the footsteps of Oliver Morosco, in the "legitimate" drama, Mr. Thomas Ince recently offered to any and every Columbia student who could write a moving picture scenario suitable for his needs, a prize of $2,000. Mr. Ince recently addressed the moving picture class at Columbia on the art of writing moving picture scenarios.

Naturalness, drama, clean stories and the logical ending were named by Mr. Ince as the prime requisites of a good scenario. In speaking of the popular and customary "kiss and clutch" ending, Mr. Ince said, "If a story is sufficiently strong to warrant a departure from the usual ending we will find a way to give it a touch of ideality."
