NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University fencing team will meet the Bowdoin team in the first meet of the season in the Fencing Room of the Hemenway Gymnasium this afternoon at 4 o'clock. The University foilsmen have been working steadily for the past two months under the coaching of J. L. Danguy.

The University will be represented by R. H. Snow '20, captain of this year's team; S. H. Ordway, Jr., '21, and W. R. Brewster '22. Snow has fenced on the team for three years and is an unusually reliable man on the defense. This is Ordway's second year of University fencing. Brewster, who is a left-hander, has made unusual progress and should show up to advantage during the coming season. The substitutes will be G. P. Howard '20 and J. S. Barss '22. E. K. Warren '20, one of the most promising members of the University squad, will be unable to compete on account of illness.

It is expected to include with the foil competition two bouts with duelling swords, an innovation in accordance with the provision made by the Intercollegiate Fencing Association last spring. Admission to members of the University will be free.
