M.I.T. DEFEATED IN SCRIMMAGE

In yesterday's practice at the Pavilion the University hockey team won an easy victory over the M.I.T. sextet when they rolled up six goals to their opponents' two in the half-hour scrimmage that followed the usual drill. The play was fast throughout, but the Technology players lacked the team-work and speed to keep up with the Crimson.

As M.I.T. is the next team to meet the University, yesterday's scrimmage gave an indication of what might be expected from the official encounter. Captain McNeil is the cleverest of the Technology aggregation, and both of the goals yesterday were due to his speed and stick work.

Walker Scores for Crimson.

N. S. Walker, Jr., '20, opened the scoring with two goals shortly after the start of play, one on a long shot from the side and the other from scrimmage in front of the Technology goal. The third University tally came when E. L. Bigelow '21 and F. McN. Bacon '21 carried the puck the length of the rink, where Bacon caged it.

McNeil scored the first goal for Technology on a long shot through the Crimson defense men. After this the substitutes took the ice for the University, and in the 15 minutes that were left doubled the lead the regulars had given them.

H. B. Snelling '21 did the best work for the second-string men, twice carrying the puck up to the M.I.T. goal for a score. McNeil made the final Technology tally when he slid the disc in from the side.
