WILL ADDRESS FIRST MEETING OF SHANNON POST IN UNION ON TUESDAY.

Major-General Clarence Edwards has accepted Professor Theodore Lyman's invitation to speak at the meeting Tuesday evening in the Living Room of the Union to organize the James A. Shannon Post (the Harvard University Post) of the American Legion. Professor Lyman who has been appointed the acting commander of the Shannon Post, was not assured of General Edwards' acceptance when he first announced the list of speakers, but received definite word from him yesterday. It was also learned that Rearl Admiral Herbert Dunn, Commandant of the First Naval District, who had also been invited, would be unable to attend the meeting

The other speakers at this meeting are: Colonel Edward L. Logan '98, State Commander of the American Legion; President Lowell and Professor W. B. Munro '99. In addition Professor Lyman will outline the plans and announce the definite steps to be taken for the active formation of the University Post. All former service men in the University are eligible for membership, and are invited to attend this meeting.

Temporary Committee Appointed.

It was further announced that a graduate and undergraduate committee has been appointed temporarily by Professor Lyman to attend to the organization of the Post. This committee consists of the following eight men: Chase Mellen '20, chairman; A. Horween '20, W. .J. Louderback '20, R. B. Williamson '20, H. H. Faxon '21, S. N. Shumway 1L, H. C. Knotts 2L., and F. H. Brownell 1 G.B.
