BRACKETT STAR OF CRIMSON TEAM IN MEET AT PROVIDENCE YESTERDAY.

PROVIDENCE, R. I., Feb. 26.--The University swimming team lost to Brown tonight at Providence by a score of 17-36. A. H. Brackett '22 did the best work for the University by winning the 50 and 100-yard dashes, and was the spectacular swimmer of the meet. W. W. Douglass '22 and A. M. Stoddard '21 took second and third places respectively in the 220-yard swim, while A. Levy '21 placed third in the dive. The relay team lost to Brown by a close margin. The University team was composed of Brackett, G. S. Worcester '22, E. C. MottSmith '22, G. Tilton '20.

The University mermen will next meet Rutgers on Friday, March 5, and Annapolis on Saturday, March 6. Those two meets will be included in a week-end trip for the swimmers.
