Catalogue of Early Paintings Published by Fogg Art Museum

A new catalogue dealing with paintings in the Fogg Museum produced before the year 1700 has been prepared by the staff of the Museum, assisted by professors in the Fine Arts Department.

Mediaeval and Rennaissance works of Italian, Spanish, German, French, Flemish, and English schools are described, in addition to ten Byzantine pictures, which are not on public exhibition.

The volume is more than a mere catalogue--it is a compact, readable history of Mediaeval and Renaissance paintings, with many fine engravings.

Copies of the book are on sale in the photograph room of the Fogg Museum.
