The Freshman track team easily defeated the Boston Commerce High School and the Boston English High School in the triangular meet held on the board track on Saturday afternoon. The 1923 men gathered 57 points, and English High came second with 12, defeating Commerce, whose total was 11, by a one point margin.
H. R. Davis was the highest Freshman point winner, capturing first place in both the shot-put and high jump. In the 1000-yard run, the most sensational event of the afternoon, W. C. Bennett came from behind in the last lap and won by a scant two yards. Other 1923 men who showed up well were C. H. Hawes, J. E. Kennedy and J. W. Quinn.
