Engineering School Back in Pierce

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

With its removal to its former quarters in Pierce Hall the Department of Sanitary Engineering at the Engineering School has taken on a new lease of life. Extensive improvements have been made in the commodious quarters occupied by the school previous to the war, and plans have been laid for more thorough and extensive bacteriological work than it has been possible to carry on before.

The chemical and bacteriological laboratories have been re-designed and extended, and the latter workroom has been especially equipped for individual research and for demonstration purposes. The new developments make possible the accommodation of a far greater number of students than has been practicable in the past.

The course in elementary bacteriology, Hygiene 2, will be given this year under the direction of Mr. G. M. Fair. This course is planned for men who have never taken bacteriology.
