Permission to use the name of Edwin F. Atkins, A.M. '03, as donor of a recent gift of $62,000 to the Harvard Endowment Fund was received yesterday. It was also learned that Mr. Atkins had increased his contribution to the Fund to the total of $125,000, the largest individual gift to the Boston portion of the Fund. Of this $25,000 was given unrestricted, and $100,000 was given for tropical research in economic botany.
