CLAFLIN REJOINS CHARGES

Coach William Claflin '15 of the University hockey team was back on the ice yesterday for the first time since his two weeks' illness, during which time Coach Winsor has taken charge of the squad. With Coach Claflin back, Mr. Winsor will resume his former position of advisory coach and come out whenever he finds it possible.

Another change has been made in the University schedule, subject to the approval of the Athletic Committee, by which the third game of the series with Yale, in case of a tie, will be played at the Philadelphia rink. Although this will mean that two games of the series are played at Philadelphia, the University management has consented to the change because of the superior advantages in size offered by the Philadelphia rink. There has been some question as to whether this new rink would be completed in time for the series to be played there, but the hockey management has been assured that the rink will be ready.

Contrary to the usual practice, there will be no Wednesday game for the team this week, but on Saturday they will meet the Sherbrooke Hockey Club from the Province of Quebec. This team is rated as one of the best of the Canadian aggregations and should offer the University a hard struggle.

In yesterday's practice Coach Claflin gave the regulars only a 35-minute workout, after which the substitutes took the ice for a short scrimmage with the Technology sextet. The Crimson second-string men played an inferior grade of hockey, although the score at the end stood 1 to 1.
