Strings Attached: How Harvard’s Wealthiest Alumni Are Reshaping University Giving
Early next week, the Harvard University Press will publish its annual Christmas Book List. This catalogue was designed by Mr. Bruce Rogers, Printing Adviser to the University, and is an exceptionally handsome specimen of typography. It lists books published by the press, which are especially suited to Christmas giving.
Among the newer books on the list are "English Pagentry," by R. Withington '06, now professor of English at Smith College, and a translation of "Dante" by C. Langdon '82, professor of Italian at Brown. Besides this, there are included Professor Grandgent's recent book of essays entitled "Old and New," and Professor Kittredge's "The Old Farmer and His Almanac," "Chaucer," "Gawain and the Green Knight," and Professor Carver's "Essays on Social Justice."
This list, although published at a rather large expense, will be issued free.
