"Heff" Herring of Princeton, former All-American tackle, and an alumnus closely connected with Princeton athletics for years even to accompanying the track team abroad last summer--has selected a "Big Three" eleven and two substitute teams.
In his first team he has modestly put seven Princeton men. Feeling that the Tiger backfield is the strongest in the country, he has installed all four regulars as a unit on his first selection. Three Harvard men are represented, and one Yale man has been awarded a place.
Team A--Legendre of Princeton, left end; Keck of Princeton, captain and left tackle; McManmon of Princeton, left guard; Havemeyer of Harvard, center; Woods of Harvard, right guard; Dickens of Yale, right tackle; Kane of Harvard, right end; Lourie of Princeton, quarterback; Garrity of Princeton, halfback; Gilroy of Princeton, halfback; and Scheerer of Princeton, fullback.
Second Team--Crocker of Harvard left end; Sedgwick of Harvard, left tackle: Dickinson of Princeton, left guard; H. Callahan of Princeton, center; T. Callahan of Yale, right guard; Hooper of Princeton, right tackle; Stinson of Princeton, right end; Fitzgerald of Harvard, quarterback; Owen of Harvard right halfback; Murrey of Princeton, left halfback; and Horween of Harvard, fullback.
Third Team--Macomber of Harvard left end; Walker of Yale, left tackle; Tolbert of Harvard, left guard; Cross of Yale, center; Acosta of Yale, right guard; Hubbard of Harvard, right tackle; Davis of Princeton, right end; Buell of Harvard, quarterback; Kempton of Yale, halfback; Cleaves of Princeton, halfback; and Wittmer of Princeton fullback.
