BASKETBALL MEN MEET CLARK TEAM TONIGHT

1924 MEETS BUSINESS SCHOOL

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In the final practice before the initial game of the season, Coach Wachter put his men through formation work yesterday afternoon. The University quintet which opposes the Clark University five this evening will be greatly weakened by the loss of acting-Captain J. R. Tolbert '23, who is out of the game because of an infected foot. In a preliminary practice game starting at eight o'clock, the Freshman team will face the Business School five. The University game will commence at 8.45 o'clock and there will be no admission charged.

Clark Has Fast Team

Clark has a fast, accurate aggregation which defeated Brown University Wednesday by a score of 36-35. Their forwards are exceptionally fast and will give the Crimson backfield men a severe test. Their weakness in the game with the Brunonians lay in their continuous fouling. With R. W. Fitts '23 at center and A. E. McLeish '23 and T. C. McConnell '21 in the forward positions, the University has a powerful point-scoring trio while S. B. Chase '21 and W. V. Miller '23 are both dependable guards.

The line-up follows: UNIVERSITY.  CLARK UNIVERSITY. McConnell, r.f.  l.g., Keenglyside McLeish, l.f.  r.g., Winn (captain) Fitts, c.  c., Smith Chase, r.g.  l.f., Cutler, Egan Miller, l.g.  r.f., Fowler Referee, Louders.  Umpire, Shay.
