An intensive Endowment Fund drive to secure subscriptions from students who do not live in the dormitories and who, as yet, have made no contribution to the fund, will start today when the College Endowment Fund Committee reopens its office in the Crimson Building. Every effort will be made to reach the 100 percent mark before the end of the week.
Although the men who do not live in dormitories had been signing up more rapidly toward the end of the previous drive as a result of the efforts of the committee to get into communication with them by telephone, the percent of these men enrolled in each class at 6 P. M. Thursday when the drive closed did not in any case exceed 28 percent. The figures follow: Seniors, 28 percent; Juniors, 14 percent; Sophomores, 21 percent; and Freshmen, 20 percent.
The committee in charge of the drive requests that as many men as possible who have not subscribed report at the office in the Crimson Building today and sign up so that it will be unnecessary to try to communicate with them by telephone. The office hours from now until the end of the drive will be from 9 A. M. to 6 P. M.
Within the next several days a final effort will be made to enroll what few students there are living in the dormitories who have not signed up. The committee requests these men to turn in their subscriptions at once so that the dormitory reports can be completed.
