All entries for the "47 Workshop's" first open scenery competition must be mailed before 5 o'clock this afternoon. All members of any department of the University or Radcliffe may enter this competition, which consists in the designing of a model stage-setting for a designated one-act play, by sending their names and a self-addressed stamped envelope, in a letter marked "Competition," to the Office of the 47 Workshop, Lower Massachusetts Hall, Cambridge. A copy of the play and the detailed conditions of the competition will be mailed to each entrant within the next few days.
Applications for a position on the stage force of the Workshop are also due today. A particularly good opportunity is offered this year for any member of the University by assisting the stage manager, or the chief electricians, in the coming productions of the "47 Workshop," to become a member of the "47 Workshop" company. Those willing to help in all, or in a majority, of the season's productions will be given first attention, but a temporary position may be found for those able to assist in only one or two plays.
