CHEER TEAM IN MASS MEETING IN UNION AT 7

At 7 tonight in the Living Room of the Union, the final football mass meeting of the year will be held. The entire team which will face Yale next Saturday will be present and Captain Horween and Lothrop Withington, '11, will speak. Singing and cheering will be practiced. The song "Veritas" which has not been sung at football games since the war, will be practiced. The words for this song which should be learned before this meeting, are printed in full on an inner page of this issue of the CRIMSON.

Tomorrow afternoon at 3.35 a parade, led by the band, will start from University Hall, and will go to the field to cheer the team in its final workout before leaving for New Haven.

All men who have the words "red handkerchief printed on their tickets, may get these handkerchiefs by calling for them at Leavitt and Peirce's any day this week.

Practice Cut Short by Rain.

Football practice for the University squad yesterday was cut short by a drizzling rain. However, realizing that the practice in holding on to a slippery ball and running signals on a wet field will prove invaluable in case of rain next Saturday, Coach Fisher sent his charges through a dummy scrimmage and a prolonged signal drill in the Stadium. The days work was ended by the customary kicking practice.

Woods, the only man on the squad who has been out of practice because of injuries, was in uniform yesterday and spent quite a while jogging around under Trainer Donovan's directions.

Leary Aids Coach Fisher.

It now seems that Sedgwick will replace Hubbard at tackle as he has started on team "A" for the last two days. Brown, although he will most likely be replaced at guard by Woods when the latter has sufficiently recovered to return to the lineup, is at any rate the first substitute who will be called on to fill this position in case of an injury to either of the regulars in the Yale game. Yesterday, Churchill started at halfback, but whether this means that he will start the game next Saturday instead of Fitts or Humphrey is not known. Gaston was again at the wing position on the second team.

Leo Leary, Percy Haughton's able assistant, who has lent his aid to Coach Fisher several times this season, was present during practice yesterday helping put the final touches on the eleven.

As the last practice for the second team will be held Thursday afternoon, there will be a dinner given in honor of these men at 7 o'clock Thursday night at the Harvard Club in Boston. The list of the men who are invited to attend is given in the notice column. Coach Knox will speak. Other speakers are being arranged for and their names will be announced in Thursday morning's CRIMSON.
