WIND UP FALL CREW SEASON

Race Between University A, B, and Two 1924 Eights at 3.45

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Fall rowing will terminate this afternoon with a final race between the remaining University and Freshman crews. Two Yearling eights, picked from the fall crop of oarsmen, are still practicing on the river, and will meet the University A, B, and C combinations. These last crews are equal in status, as no formal order is attempted in fall rowing. The race will take place over the mile course at 3.45 promptly. After this contest organized University rowing will stop, but voluntary work in the tank will be resumed next week. The Freshmen who have elected rowing as a sport, however, must continue, reporting three times a week in the tank for their compulsory exercise requirement.

Announcement has been made that members of the winning class crew will receive individual trophy cups for their efforts. The Athletic Association is presenting these cups. In the race Monday this combination class crew defeated their opponents. The crew is as follows:

Bow--W. M. Tucker '23.

2--L. Wheeler '22.

3--G. K. Wakefield '22.

4--R. H. Hopkins '22.

5--P. E. Jackson '21.

6--G. S. MacKensie '23.

7--J. Hodges '23.

Stroke--P. Wolcott '22.

Coxswain--W. W. Wood '24.
