DEBATE TRIALS TONIGHT

The trials for places on the Interclass Debating Teams will take place this evening. They will be open to all undergraduates who are not connected with the University Debating Team, and those interested should report as follows: Freshman, Harvard 3 at 7 P. M.; Sophomores, Harvard 2 at 7 P. M.; Juniors, Harvard 3 at 8 P. M.; and Seniors, Harvard 2 at 8 P. M.

A change has been made in the wording of the question, which does not affect the general subject but makes clearer the meaning sought to be conveyed by the question. The question now stands, "Resolved, That the United States Senators should be elected solely on a basis' of occupational representation." By this is meant that it is proposed to have all voters register under different heads, such as: Business Men or Trades Unions; which will elect a certain number of Senators apiece based on the results of the voting.

Four men will be picked by the judges from each class to represent their respective classes in the Interclass Debates to be held about the 11th of November. The question for debate at this time will be given to the man tonight. The men will be chosen upon their ability to speak and to think. The mere accumulation of facts is of no particular worth in tonight's trials.
