Pres. Lowell Denies Signing Telegram

During the middle of last week a story was published in the papers in which it was reported that a number of prominent men, interested in the league, had sent a telegram to the governors of all the states requesting them to take measures to encourage the reading of the Covenant President Lowell was reported as among of the League of Nations by the people, the signers.

On President Lowell's return from the West, however, he sent to Governor Coolidge a letter denying that he authorized anyone to sign his name to the telegram.
