The first match of the Interdormitory Tennis Tournament was played yesterday afternoon on the Divinity Courts, Gore defeating Smith, 3 to 2. The contest was close and exciting throughout. Tomorrow Smith will meet Standish, either giving the tournament to Gore by winning, or bringing Gore and Standish together in the finals by losing. The results of the tournament will be counted on a par with other fall sports towards the interdormitory Championship. The winner is given five-points towards the championship trophy, second place gets three, and third, one point.

The dormitory teams have been selected from the preliminary rounds played last week, and line up as follows;

Gore-1, C. W. Farnum; 2, H. C. Haskell; 3, C. L. Finche; 4, M. Casson; 5, R. S. Lawton; 6, J. G. Cohen.

Smith-1, P. Cummings; 2, L. R. Rouillion; 3, Wylde; 4, S. B. Rapport; 5, C. H. Voorhies; 6, H. C. Walz.

Standish-1, W. H. Harkness; 2, H. A. Bultman; 3, D. Stralen; 4, A. C. Bliss; 5, J. B. Squier; 6, A. Terrazas.

Matches are under way to select the class teams for the coming interclass tournament to be played Thursday and Friday. Captain L. A. de Turenne has appointed the following captains: for 1924, C. W. Farnum; for 1923, M. Duane; for 1922, F. T. Pratt; for 1921, L. A. de Furenne (acting captain). On Thursday two matches are slated: 1921 vs. 1923, and 1922 vs. 1924.
