The featured act at Keith's this week is a vaudeville version of the famous musical comedy "Going Up" The plot is condensed to a brief synopsis of the play, which was originally based on Geo M Cohan's "The Aviator," and deals with a young man who is induced to enter an airplane race to win the love of a girl. He does the stunt and proves himself a hero in the end.
Sybil Vane, the Welsh prime donna, scores a hit with her four songs, one in Italian and three in English. She possesses an excellent soprane voice with considerable range to it, and receives much applause. Charles O'Donnell and Ethel Blair are uproariously funny in a comedy skit called "The Piano Mover"; the act is new and all their stunts are well-executed Gertrude Vanderbilt, "the only Vanderbilt on the stage" has a song and dance number that is as fresh as a sea breeze; with her catchy songs, jokes and personality she proves a great favorite. Others on the bill are the two Leightons with a program of "Comedy and Songs," Delaue and Pike in acrobatic stunts, and Juno Salme, an expert acrial contortionist.
