Only two matches remain to be played in the University tennis tournament. E. A. Niles 3L. has already entered the finals by defeating A. Hoppe 1L. yesterday in a very close match. Who the other finalist is to be will be decided today when H. R. Guild 2L. plays B. Fenno '21. The winner will meet Niles in the championship match.
In the doubles, L. A. de Turenne '21 and D. P. Robinson have reached the finals. They defeated F. T. Pratt '22 and J. M. Kleberg '22 in two fast sets yesterday afternoon. The other doubles pair for the finals is still in doubt, for several matches are yet to be played.
The results yesterday were: E. A. Niles 3L. defeated A. Hoppe 1L., 6-1, 5-7, 6-3; B. Fenno '21 defeated J. R. Morss '21, 6-2, 6-1; L. A. de Turenne '21 and D. P. Robinson 1E.S., defeated F. T. Pratt '22 and J. M. Kleberg '22, 6-4, 6-2.
Entries for the Freshman dormitory tournaments, which will begin on October 25, must be in by October 22. After these tournaments the fall interdormitory matches will be played.
