An intramural gymnastic meet between teams composed of men representing the three Freshman dormitories has been scheduled for March 24. In order that candidates for these teams may receive the benefit of Coach Seikel's training, a many men as desire may report for practive with the University squad during the mid-year period. As soon as the examinations are over a formal call will be issued, and from that date regular practice will be held under the direction of the coach. The meet will comprise the usual six events- high bar, parallel bars horse, rings, tumbling, and club swinging Individual prizes will be awarded for each event, and the greatest point winner will receive an additional prize.
The purpose of this contest is to stimulate interest in gymnastic work among members of the Freshman class and to bring out men who will develop into suitable material for next year's University team.
Much interest in gymnastics has been shown this year and a promising team is in the process of development. The schedule includes dual meets with Yale and Dartmouth, a triangular meet with Princeton and M. I. T., numerous exhibitions, and the Intercollegiates, all being Subject to the approval of the Athletic Committee.
