COUNT SUMMER WORK FOR A. M.

Rules Announced for Obtaining Credit in Courses During Next Term

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

By a recent vote of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences a program consisting of summer school work only may be presented for the degree of A. M. Harvard undergraduates who have the privileges of the Dean's list and men who, because of their service in the army, the navy, the volunteer police, or the state guard, deserve special consideration, may, in the Summer School of 1920, be allowed to count forward the degree of A.B. or S.B. two summer courses, but no undergraduate shall be permitted to obtain credit for more than one full course. Undergraduates not in the above categories shall not be permitted to obtain credit for more than one half-course.

In 1920 there will be one session of the Summer School, from Tuesday, only 6, to Saturday, August 14. Courses will be offered in Architecture, Astronomy, Botany, Chemistry, Economics, Education, Engineering Sciences, English, Fine Arts, French, Geology, German, Government, History, Horticulture, Italian, Mathematics, Medical Sciences, Music, Philosophy, Physical Education, Physics, Psychology, Public Speaking, and Spanish. Most of these courses are accepted as half-courses toward the degrees of A.B., A.A., and S.B., but cannot be counted in addition to the corresponding courses in Harvard College.
