STIFF SCRIMMAGE FOR SEXTET

Light practice was in order at the Pavilion for the University hockey team yesterday, until Coach Winsor decided to stage a half-hour scrimmage with the speedy B. A. A. organization. For the first hour of practice, the team ran through its usual shooting and combination drill with Coach Winsor on hand to point out the faults that became evident in Saturday's game against Yale. Coach Claflin has been called to Washington on business, and it is expected that he will be away most of this week. Coach Winsor will take charge of the squad in his absence.

After the 6 o'clock gong had sounded yesterday the B. A. A. sextet came onto the ice and the University team lined up against them for five minutes' scoreless scrimmaging. J. Holmes, Jr., '21 at goal was subjected to a heavy bombardment from the hard-shooting B. A. A. players but until the Crimson substitutes replaced the regulars, he kept the goal clear of any tallies. After the regulars left the ice, the Boston sextet managed to roll up three goals in the twenty-five minutes that were left.

To the three men named in yesterday's CRIMSON as having won their hockey "H" for the first time on Saturday, R. W. Emmons, 3rd, '20, should be added. Emmons has been playing at right wing for the Crimson sextet throughout the season. R. R. Higgins '22 was yesterday raised to the University squad.
