New M.I.T. Technical Publication Makes Appearance Next Week

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

M. I. T. is to have a new engineering publication called "The Tech Engineering News."

The first issue of this paper will be on sale next week and may be obtained in Harvard Square at the Cooperative Branch and usual bookstores.

The Tech Engineering News will be issued without additional charge to regular subscribers of the Tech, and it is expected to have a considerable additional circulation among engineers and business men throughout the country as well as among students at scientific schools. It will be published monthly, and will be illustrated with cuts.

The purpose of the paper will be to keep its readers informed of current events of interest in the field of industry, the most recent advances in engineering science, and of the results of researches and original investigations. It will aim to develop in the students at the Institute and other scientific schools a better knowledge of the actual conditions of industry which they will meet upon graduation, and to interest them in the current progress in the different branches of science.

It is planned to publish a number of short articles in each issue and a few of slightly greater length describing some new achievements in science or industry, written simply, so that they may be read without effort, and will interest the majority of readers. Articles or communications will be published from anyone interested in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology or the objects sought by this paper.
