A. Y. D. Memorial Clubhouse.

To the Editors of the CRIMSON:

The 26th Division's plans for a memorial clubhouse are well under way. The project is one which should excite the enthusiasm of all Harvard men, for the Yankee Division represented New England on the fighting line, and the inter- ests of New England are closely affiliated with those of the University.

Most of the men connected with Harvard feel no lack of clubhouse facilities, for their work here entitles them to Harvard and University club membership throughout the country. The project under discussion will give similar privileges to some thirty thousand men who otherwise could not enjoy them. The plan is to furnish a building with swimming pool, restaurant, dormitories and recreation rooms at a very low annual cost per member. Surely this is a worthy project. We are hoping for generous support from Harvard men.

During banking hours there is a collector at the Charles River Trust Company. Any amount subscribed will be much appreciated.

We feel that University men will not feel reluctant to help owing to their service with other divisions. The Yankee Division was composed largely of New England men, and this is more or less a local project. But just as men and women interested in other divisions have helped the Yellow Cross Division Club in Chicago and the Seventy-seventh Division Club in New York, we are hoping for help for the 26th Division Club from persons not directly conected with this division as well as those directly concerned.  FELIX W.
