JUDGE GRANT '72 RE-ELECTED TO PRESIDENCY OF OVERSEERS

At the meeting of the Board of Overseers, held yesterday afternoon in the Faculty Room of University Hall, Judge Robert Grant '72, of Boston was re-elected president of the Board. Judge Grant is well-known as the author of "Unleavened Bread," "The Chippendales" and other novels and essays.

The first meeting was well attended, 24 members out of 32 being present. Most of the Overseers later went to the dinner given by the Boston Committee of the Harvard Endowment Fund at the Harvard Club in Boston.

As a result of the meeting, the Degree of Bachelor of Laws was conferred on 70 men. Of these five men won their law degree cum laude. These honor men are: I. H. Fattischild; J. A. Fowler; A. MacLeish; C. Murphy; H. F. Reindel.

Fay Diploma Awarded.

The Fay Diploma of the Law School was awarded to Archibald MacLeish LL.B. '19, of Glencoe, Ill. This is a diploma given "to the member of each graduating class who, in the judgment of the Law Faculty has, during his three years, by his scholarship, conduct, and character, given evidence of the greatest promise."

The Degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine was awarded to the six members of the Dental School; and many other appointments were made.
