CRIMSON CANDIDATES CALLED TONIGHT

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Candidates for the news and editorial departments of the Crimson Board from the Classes of 1921 and 1922 will report this evening at the Crimson Building on Plympton Street at 7.30 o'clock. The details of both competitions will then be explained to the men and they will start work immediately.

The news competition will last approximately twelve weeks and will consist mainly of writing up the news of University activities, together with a certain amount of work connected with putting the paper to press. No journalistic experience is necessary in order to qualify for the news department, for any man with a normal amount of ability can learn the work in a short time. The office work will prove of interest in teaching the various phases of typesetting and printing.

Editorial candidates will be accepted from the Junior Class only and will be under the charge of the editorial chairman, who will confer with them from time to time concerning their contributions for the column. Election to the board will, in this case, be based upon the number of editorials printed in the Crimson, while in the case of the news men credit will be given for office work as well as for stories published.
