As a reward for meritorious work with the British Army in France, several members of the University Surgical Unit have been awarded high honors by the British government.
Lt.-Col. Hugh Cabot '94, commander of the unit, has been awarded the ribbon of companion of the Order of St. Michael and St. George. The same honor was given to Maj. Varaztad Kazanjian, chief of oral surgery.
The other members of the unit who were honored are:
Maj. E. G. Crabtree, chief of surgical division: Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.
Maj. G. C. Shattuck, chief of medical division: Distinguished Service Order.
Capt. F. B. Grinnell and Capt. E. Harding: Military Cross.
Lt.-Col. W. E. Faulkner, Lt.-Col. A. Greenwood, Capt. H. W. Woodward, and Lt. W. J. Dodd (deceased): mentioned in dispatches.
