Fall baseball will be inaugurated this afternoon at 3 o'clock, when all candidates for the nine are expected to report at the Locker Building on Soldiers Field. Coach Hugh Duffy will be on hand, and will have charge of the practice throughout the fall. Captain R. W. Emmons '20, R. P. Hallowell '20, and E. S. Hardell '21, are among the veterans who are expected to report today.

A schedule will be arranged by Manager A. E. Kirk '20 with the local commercial house teams, and practice games will be played between the members of the squad.

Four "H" Men Fail to Return.

Four regular members of last year's nine have not returned to College, J. L. Knowles '19, left field, captain W. W. McLeod '19, second base, H. P. King, Jr., '21, first base, and R. H. Bond '19, catcher, and as a result, the opportunity for new men is excellent. Several members of last year's squad are playing football, which creates still more vacancies to be filled on this fall's nine. This work is invaluable to players who intend to try for next year's team, and ability shown now will increase a man's chances for making the nine in the spring.
