Two competitions for positions on the Lampoon Board will begin this week. Business candidates will report at the Lampoon Building on Mt. Auburn street this morning at 10 o'clock, while men trying for the drawing and writing departments will report Wednesday at the same time.
The business competition is open to members of the Freshman and Sophomore classes. It will last until mid-years, when the successful Sophomore candidates will be elected to the board. The Freshmen who are retained will not be taken on until the following fall, as it is not customary for the Lampoon to elect Freshman editors. This competition will consist largely of soliciting advertisements and subscriptions, with a small amount of clerical work.
The drawing and writing competition is open to all members of the three lower classes. The length of the competition is indefinite, but any candidate will be elected when he has shown sufficient ability. Both competitions will be outlined at the meetings of the candidates.
