Dean Academy will oppose the second University baseball team in its third contest of the season on Soldiers Field this afternoon at 4 o'clock. E. C. Dingwell '19, will start the game in the box for the University, while G. M. Weeks '21, who has proved the most effective catcher of the team, will remain behind the bat.
In its two previous contests, the team has displayed great batting ability and has developed some fast fielders in Captain G. S. Baldwin '21, at short-stop and R. B. Shaw '21 at third. The nine's first game resulted in a 4 to 3 victory over Middlesex, and the second in a 10 to 7 win from Andover, both of whom were undefeated up to the time of their meeting with the second string players.
The Dean Academy team in strong and well-balanced; and the Freshman nine was able to defeated it only after a 12 inning contest, which ended in a 3 to 2 score.
