This afternoon the second University baseball team will play its first game of the season with Middlesex at Concord. In its one week of practice, the team has shown up very well, G. H. Dorr '21 and Captain G. S. Baldwin '21 having displayed excellent form. R. Phillips '21 will start the game in the box today, while G. M. Weeks '21 will be behind the bat. The Middlesex team has a score of 21 consecutive victories to its credit, and blanked Groton on Saturday.
At a meeting of all players on the second University team immediately after practice on Friday, George Storer Baldwin, Jr., '21, of Chestnut Hill, was elected captain. He prepared at Volkmann and Andover and played on the Freshman team last year.
